It seems that innovation is the word that defines a successful adaptation of a sequence, approach, process, object, idea or ‘thing’. If we assume this is a worthy point then we undeniably pursue this notion more than we think and not just when we choose to. If innovation is just an adaptation then we must accomplish this more than we are aware of.
With each and every thing I do there contains a process, a process that defines the outcome. Who at this point determines whether the outcome is innovative enough to be labeled as innovation? To my immediate mind I may have pushed myself to extremes, working day and night, night and day to achieve a goal that has re-evaluated my ethics, challenged my process and changed my approach(s). At this point I consider to have succeeded a personal level of innovation where I have ultimately changed the shape of my personality adopting new options and values. But, where is this recognized? It is clear that I am being innovative on a personal level, but is this enough, will this ever gain recognition as the end product repeatedly seizes to reflect my struggle and the outcome doesn’t reflect the process is it a complete and utter failure? It is hard to say but what I remain clear about is that If I maintain a goal to strive to innovate on a level of my own approach(s) then one day this may lead to bigger things.
It is important to know what I am aiming to achieve and to whom I am asking to respond. At the end of the day, it may only be myself but for most of the time it isn’t.
